The Killers
"The Killer" Jerry Lee Lewis is one of the first rock and roll's greats, one of the most influential pianists of the 20th century. Born in raised in Louisiana, he was inspired by gospel music, the country music he heard on the radio, and the blues and honky tonk performances he heard in local juke joints. A young prodigy on the piano, he became a rock music pioneer and the archetype for the bad boy rock star. Jerry Lee ignited the airwaves with his first hits "Great Balls of Fire," "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On," "Breathless" and "High School Confidential" all-time classics. He later transitioned to country and became a virtuoso with hit recordings "Another Place, Another Time," "Chantilly Lace" and "What's Made Milwaukee Famous (Has Made A Loser Out of Me)." |
