Trey Anastasio - Phish
Guitarist, singer, songwriter and composer Trey Anastasio is the front man of Phish, which he co-founded with his friends at the University of Vermont in 1983. After a few personnel changes in the early years, the official quartet lineup of Trey on guitar and vocals, Page McConnell on keyboards, Mike Gordon on bass, and Jon Fishman on drums has rocked on from 1986 to present day. Phish is considered to be one of the greatest live acts in the history of music, and the group tours extensively throughout the world every year with an impressively dedicated cult following similar to the Grateful Dead. In addition to Phish, Trey performs with his side projects Trey Anastasio Band, Oysterhead, Ghosts of the Forest, and Surrender to the Air. As a composer, his symphonic compositions have been performed by the New York Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the National Symphony Orchestra. The score he co-wrote for the Broadway musical Hand on a Hardbody earned him a Tony Award nomination He's shown jamming in a black Rockmount sueded tencel. |
