In 1993, the costume designer for the HBO movie Red Rock West called that she was in town to pick up some western wear from other brands. They had given her a trunk full of shirts. She was staying downtown and asked if we would like to give her more. I said why don't you come over and see why you will want to pay for Rockmount shirts and not use the free stuff from the others. She did and gave away the other shirts at a shelter. This was the first time I had worked with a movie production, though we had supplied Rockmount to movies going back to Elvis in Love Me Tender and The Misfits with Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable. Nicholas Cage and Dennis Hopper both wore Rockmount. The coolest part was the scene where Nicholas Cage is driving around Wyoming in a massive old Cadillac for a job interview. He pulls over and opens the trunk to put on his nice shirt. The entire screen fills with the Rockmount label!
