John Sayles

Happy Birthday to film director, screenwriter, actor, and novelist John Sayles! As a highly accomplished artist throughout various mediums, his works have been recognized and awarded for decades. His films Passion Fish and Lone Star have both earned him Academy Award nominations, and his directorial debut Return of the Secaucus 7 has been added to the National Film Registry. His script Night Skies inspired the script for E.T., and he even directed the music videos for Rockmount fan Bruce Springsteen's megahits "Born in the U.S.A.," "I'm on Fire," and "Glory Days." We had the pleasure of meeting John when he was making his Colorado-based political satire Silver City, and we were honored to supply Rockmount for the film.
