Jack White - White Stripes

Jack White, lead singer and guitarist of the duo The White Stripes, has visited Rockmount a few times and invited us to his shows. One time a friend from England named Fiona walked in at the same time and I had to decide which way to turn. Of course, I chose Fiona, but Jack invited us to his concert at the Ogden anyway. There was music and it was loud. I kept thinking the peeling paint would erupt on fire.

Jack famously wore Rockmount's Red Vintage Fringe Embroidery on the cover of The White Stripes' breakthrough fourth studio album Elephant, one of the seminal records of the 2000s.

When our Colorado museum exhibit was staged he lent us his Rockmount red fringe shirt with matching pants which appeared in the Rock Star section featuring Dylan, Clapton and McCartney...

He is also shown alongside singer-songwriter Karen Elson.
